Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council, Chennai-106. The Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council is functioning as a statutory body constituted by a enactment of Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy system of medicine and practitioner of Homoeopathy Act, 1971.
(Tamil Nadu Act No.5 1972) for the development of the Homoeopathy system of medicine and registration of practioners of Homoeopathy and for matters connected therewith in the State of Tamil Nadu.
Under the provisions of the above said Act, persons registered with the Tamilnadu Homoeopathy Medical Council are alone eligible to practice Homoeopathy system in the State of Tamil Nadu.

Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council:
The Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council is a statutory body constituted by an enactment under the provisions of Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy System of Medicine and Practitioners of Homoeopathy Act, 1971 (Tamil Nadu Act 5 of 1972) for the development of the Homoeopathy System of Medicine and registration of practitioners of Homoeopathy and for matters connected therewith in the state of Tamil Nadu. Under the provisions of the above said act, persons registered with this
Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council are alone eligible to practice as Doctor in Homoeopathy System of Medicine in the state. The Council is advisory body to Government in the matter of research in Homoeopathy System. The Council has registered the following number of doctors as on today 31.12.2023.
‘A’ Clause:
5 1/2 years regular study in recognised Homoeopathy Medical Colleges (4 1/2 years Study + 1 year house urgency) 7168 doctors.
‘B’ Clause:
(Experience basis Registration) (Stopped in the year 1976) 1432 doctors.
As per the existing provisions of the State and National Commission for Homoeopathy, persons having BHMS degree are alone eligible to enroll their names with this Council at present.
